77 percent of applicants to New College of Florida were admitted for fall 2018

At New College of Florida, 98 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Sarasota enrolled 837 students in fall 2018, including 808 in undergraduate and 29 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

77 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 19 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (17 percent).

The school admitted 77 percent of the 1,340 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
